Google Pixel 9 ranks 1st in the DXOMARK Premium test

DXOMARK, a French benchmarking company puts premium phones between $600 to $800 to test the camera quality of smartphones. As a result, they published that Google Pixel 9 ranked first in the Premium test.

Google recently launched the Pixel 9 series including Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel foldable Android phones. Notably, vanilla Pixel 9 scored 7th in the Global rankings and 1st in the Premium ranking. The Google Pixel 9 left behind its former Pixel 8, and Apple’s iPhone 15 and 14.

Additionally, DXOMARK stated that the Pixel 9 earned 154 points in camera quality. Google Pixel 9 captures good pictures, detailed images, and natural skin color. The camera also excels in capturing landscape and portrait photography with good exposure. On the other hand, it indicates that Google takes the lead over Apple in the case of cameras.

However, the Pixel 9 lacks the feature of a telephoto camera and advanced features like Video Boost and Night HDR+. But it is good for low-light photography, stabilized videos, and detailed group photos. Moreover, the Pixel 9’s bokeh effect captures the good aesthetic quality of the blur-produced images by the wide aperture lens.

Furthermore, the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL also scored 158 points. It also achieved an incredible 2 position in the Ultra Premium test. Hence, the results of DXOMARK made Google proud of itself for manufacturing worthwhile devices. So, both Google Pixel 9 and 9 Pro XL grades top in the Premium and Ultra Premium rankings.
