On August 22, Google announced the introduction of a new app called “Google Essentials” for Windows PC gamers. The Google Essentials is a hub of all Google services like Google Play Games, Google Photos, Google Messages, and more.
Currently, Google services are in the beta phase, but soon it is available for gaming PC around the world. In addition, Google also announced that HP will become the first PC maker with the incorporation of Google Essentials.
Ashish Pimplapure, the Google Director posted, “Today, we’re introducing Google Essentials, a new app that makes it easier for you to discover and install many of our best Google services — including Google Play Games — when setting up a new PC. Google Essentials will be first available on all HP Windows consumer and gaming brands: Spectre, Envy, Pavilion, OMEN, Victus and HP Brand and soon to be featured on all OmniBook brands. You can open Google Essentials right from the start menu and easily switch between your phone and laptop.”
Additionally, Google also stated that Essentials will provide shortcuts to Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Photos, Google Messages, and more. It also offers authentic Google One 100 GB subscribers for a 2-month free trial.
The availability of Google Essentials will let users easily swap between smartphones and laptops. Users get simple access to download numerous Android games from Google Play Games for their Windows PC. However, the new HP laptops will preload with Google Essentials. But Google says, “in control of your experience”, the user uninstall it anytime according to their preferences.
