The world was surprised on September 25 with the launch of many innovative products by Meta in the two-day Meta Connect 2024 event. CEO Mark Zuckerberg proudly unveiled the futuristic Orion glasses that will transform the way digital content is utilized.

It seamlessly connects the virtual to the real world with its advanced algorithm, rather than just using the passthrough technology. The features of Orion AR glasses include lightweight, wide-field displays for multitasking and entertainment.

While wearing the smart glasses, Mark Zuckerberg showed that it has advanced voice controls and hand and eye tracking for intuitive navigation. Plus, it also has ten custom silicon chips, a novel display architecture, and an EMG wristband.

The audience was even more delighted when the Meta Quest 3S headset was introduced, with a high-quality immersive experience for gamers and benefiting marketers to showcase their products virtually. The headset has advanced processing capabilities with mixed reality experiences, boasting 4.5 times the resolution and improved graphics.

Compared to the earlier versions, the Quest 3S is comfortable to wear at an affordable price point. It comes in two models: 128GB Quest 3S, which can be upgraded to a 256GB SKU, and the other is 512GB Quest 3 for $500.

Meta launched these advanced devices at a strategic time, when AI, AR/VR, and automation technology are booming. By doing so, the company has taken a huge leap ahead of its competitors, offering customers a glimpse into the future where the online world brings different economies together much more easily.
