OxygenOS 15 update

OnePlus 12 is rolling out OxygenOS 15 this year with the long term aim for AI functionality and improved performance.  The phone giant has also confirmed the availability of beta version will open on October 30. For the time being, it will be available for OnePlus 12 devices and later should expand over the coming months. The company has also confirmed that this collaboration with Google, is going to bring Gemini AI as the default assistant on OnePlus smartphones, bringing the Gemini Live feature as well.

OxygenOS 15 will be here with a handful of features, of course with integrated AI. These include refreshed design with modern and cohesive touch. Faster and much smoother icon opening and closing is there, even though OnePlus devices have always been some of the smoothest to use.

The OxygenOS 15 update is also said to be up to 20% smaller than the previous version of OxygenOS 14. Lots of older “redundant” functions and features have been removed to allow for these impressive space savings.

Impressive AI additions for OxygenOS 15:-

  1. AI Detail Boost: This feature uses AI to enhance photos that might seem unusable, making it great for zoomed-in shots or improving background details. It works in the cloud.
  1. AI Unblur: This feature helps clear up blurry photos, like those candid captures of your kids or pets. It’s also a cloud-based tool.
  1. AI Reflection Eraser: Another cloud-based tool removes distracting reflections from your photos, whether they’re strong or subtle.
  1. Intelligent Search: This handy feature works both in the cloud and on your device, letting you search for information across settings, files, and notes. For instance, it can pull up text buried deep in a document on your phone.
  1. Circle to Search: OxygenOS 15 supports Google’s Circle to Search, making it easy to find what you’re looking for.
  1. AI Notes: This cloud-based feature organizes your notes, makes them easier to read, corrects grammar, and improves structure, helping you keep everything in order.

Other features are also rumored to be work in progress like “Share with iPhone” but it might take a while to come out fully. These impressive updates from OxygenOS 15 truly show the commitment from OnePlus to provide quality top tech to its consumers.
