Microsoft Integrates Free o1 Reasoning Into Copilot, Expanding AI Capabilities

Microsoft is ready to launch OpenAI’s o1 reasoning model to all users of Copilot soon. It will eliminate the need for a subscription to the $20 monthly Copilot Pro or ChatGPT Plus plans. 

This indicates that every Copilot user will have access to this advanced feature at no additional cost. This feature known as ‘Think Deeper’ improves Copilot’s ability to tackle more complex questions. 

By using Think Deeper users can get access to a thoughtful response quickly as the system has the functionality to evaluate the question from multiple angles to provide the best results. 

Initially Think Deeper was introduced in October as part of a preview within Copilot Labs and it allowed Copilot Pro subscribers to test new functionalities under development. 

Just like ChatGPT Plus, this feature offers comprehensive and step-by-step solutions to difficult and complex queries. This makes the feature particularly useful for tasks like comparing options, planning extensive road trips or generating application code. 

Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI announced in a LinkedIn post that Think Deeper will now be available to all Copilot users without any extra fees. 

He expressed his excitement in his statement,  “The potential applications are truly limitless. I am thrilled that our vast user base will have this opportunity. We have many more innovations on the horizon that I am eager to share. In the meantime, as life presents us with chaos and complex challenges, let Think Deeper help alleviate some of that cognitive burden!”

The Think Deeper feature will be available for the users on the Copilot website or mobile application. There, they can submit the question for which they need the answer and within 30 seconds, a detailed response will be generated. 

This advancement represents a significant move towards making sophisticated AI capabilities more accessible and beneficial to a broader audience.
