According to a recent report, Snap might soon be introducing a slew of new features on the Snapchat app. And, rumor has it that Snap might finally be releasing a feature that will let you edit your Snap messages after they have been sent.
Snapchat will also be getting new emoji reactions, map reactions, and a new AI-powered reminder function that will make the user experience for Snapchat that much better.
While the good news is that you will now be able to edit your snaps, there is a caveat to this. The time window in which you can edit your messages is only five minutes. This means that you only get five short minutes to edit your messages before they become permanent.
Snap has mentioned in a comment that this feature will first be rolled out to their Snapchat Plus subscribers. This is pretty similar to what Elon Musk did with the Twitter Blue (X Premium) paywall.
Post-sent message editing is a feature that many users have been wanting in their favorite messaging apps for a very long time. And with Meta’s Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp all getting them last year, even Apple introduced this feature in their iOS 16 update and Google might be planning to get in on it too.
Aside from this, Snapchat might be getting some more new AI and Bitmoji features that will make using Snapchat more fun and engaging for users.
