apples new ipad pro ad

Apple’s back in the spotlight with a fresh iPad ad, and let me tell you, it’s like a soothing balm after their last ad left some folks feeling a bit sour. This new ad, called “Worlds Made on iPad,” stars the fabulous Sofia Wylie.

In the ad, Sofia’s on a green screen set, and then the screen splits into three different animated worlds. She’s crawling, leaping, and floating through these dreamy, stylized spaces. It’s a total vibe shift from their last attempt, which kind of flopped really hard.

Now, that previous ad, “Crush!” was something else.

Imagine seeing all your favorite creative tools—guitars, paints, sound mixers—being squished in a hydraulic press. All that to unveil a shiny new iPad Pro. Creators everywhere were like, “Um, excuse me?”

It was like watching your artistic soul get crushed, literally. Apple got the memo and even apologized. Maybe this new ad is their way of saying sorry again.

This time around, it’s all about the human touch. And, what’s more, you don’t even see the iPad Pro in the main video, though it sneaks into a vertical version.

The tagline is, “One piece of green screen footage interpreted by different animators using the iPad Pro powered by the M4 chip, and the new Apple Pencil Pro.” And shoutouts to the animators, Natalie Labarre, Jin & Jay, and Eric Lane. Real people, real talent. Their creativity shines way brighter than that last debacle.
