How Birad Shifted From a Finance Background to the Information Technology Sector, Especially in RPA. How?

A: Birad discovered a love for Management Information Systems (MIS) during his undergraduate studies as well as in his Master’s degree program. He started work with the Process Improvement group in a supply chain and logistics firm after finishing his MBA. This role let him participate in process re-engineering initiatives where he found certain problems, scientifically assessed bottlenecks, and carried out holistic solutions to address these requirements.

He gladly registered when the process improvement team needed volunteers for projects on process automation, therefore marking his shift from process improvement to process automation. From a personal point of view, he has discovered that working at the convergence of business operations and technology is very fulfilling.

What Basic Ideas Does Bhatt use in Creating Automation Plans Appropriate for Different Industries? 

Regardless of the sector or domain, all business operations are made of three components: incoming work, processed work, and work that is passed downstream. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a technological platform that is agnostic and may be modified to satisfy the unique needs and commercial applications used by several business teams. Hence, creating a smart automation plan for any company involves the same key components, including finding automation opportunities, creating a business case, choosing the right automation instrument or platform, managing change, and agreeing on project success standards. 

Before the start of the project, a clear definition of these points depends on close cooperation with the project sponsor team. In the record-to-report, order-to-cash, and procure-to-pay segments throughout different industry sectors, RPA deployments have shown to be very successful based on my own experience.

Advances in cognitive technologies and artificial intelligence are expected to improve Robotic Process Automation, broadening its reach into formerly thought of ‘subjective’ fields. Optical character recognition (OCR) technologies and systems able to correctly read handwriting, for instance, have greatly enhanced the capacity to handle handwritten forms and paperwork. 

Organizations are increasingly implementing locally large language models (LLMs) that are developed on their internal data and operate safely behind their firewalls to handle customer emails and several papers. Agentic artificial intelligence solutions are also projected to provide better replies to business managers, therefore increasing productivity and improving service for end users and consumers.
