ChatGPT is 25% More Accurate Than Siri, While Apple Intelligence is Two Years Behind Google and Meta

Apple internally knows that its AI or Apple Intelligence is two years behind rivalries like Google, Meta, and Open AI.

In WWDC 2024, Apple is marketing Apple Intelligence and iOS 18 alongside the launching of iPhone 16 models. However, this public stunt is not available for the iPhone 16 lineup in public release. Apple also claims that users cannot experience AI in the absence of iOS 18.

Additionally, Apple Intelligence features Writing Tools, Photo Memories, supercharged Siri, a Clean Up Tool, and more. These features also include iOS 18 when it will arrive in iPhone models.

On the other hand, Google, Meta, and Open AI are gaining progress in the AI field. Apple also partners with OpenAI to support GPT-4o across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. The company is well aware of its deficiency in developing a much more powerful and accurate AI model.          

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, stated in this Power On newsletter edition

“Some at Apple believe that its generative AI technology — at least, so far — is more than two years behind the industry leaders. Internal studies apparently revealed that ChatGPT is 25% more accurate and can answer 30% more queries than Siri.”

Previously, Apple has proven world to achieve top positions in all fields such as Apple Maps. Gurman believes that the company also empower AI in the upcoming months and years.
