Samsung just launched new gadgets, including Galaxy Z Fold 6. But there is something strange.
During this setup, the Fold 6 did not ask to set up fingerprints security. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a fingerprint scanner on the side. But this time, it only asked for a passcode from an old phone, like the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
This is the first time it didn’t ask for fingerprints or face recognition. To set it up later, go to Security and Privacy settings and follow the steps for biometrics.
It’s not clear if Samsung removed the fingerprint setup option or if it’s a bug. Sometimes, companies release updates to fix problems right after a new product is launched.
We’ll keep watching to see if Samsung releases an update to fix this. If not, it might mean bigger changes are coming.
For the time being, if you purchase a Galaxy Z Fold 6, make sure to manually configure your fingerprints in the settings if you intend to use them for security.
