Google announced the AI generative features in Google Maps which transform the user experience. The company is updating immersive features to make it easier for users to ask for inspiration curated with Gemini AI.

Miriam Daniel, VP and GM of Google Maps said in a blog post, “By using AI to analyze billions of images, alongside data from local partners and our community, we’re able to make over 100 million updates to the map every single day. So whether you’re traveling the world or across town, you’re seeing the most up-to-date information possible.”

For instance, you ask Maps for “things to do with friends at night” – it illustrates many activities based on your place with the help of Gemini. If you are eager to know about specific cafes, it shows you detailed information by just asking simple questions. Moreover, Google Maps aims to provide better and real reviews summarized with AI for your good venture.

Additionally, you can “add stops” to reserve locations for landmarks, scenic points, and dining options. Google Maps navigates you easily to unfamiliar places by showing road signs and crosswalks. You can check weather conditions before reaching the destination and along the route.
