On May 17, 2009, Cave Game, which would soon be known to the world as Minecraft was released. This year, the game celebrates its 15-year anniversary and Google has a fun new easter egg too.
If you type “Minecraft” into a Google search, a grass block from the game will appear at the bottom of the page once it is fully loaded. Clicking starts digging into the screen and a small Minecraft world will open up.
If you scroll down and click, Steve will start digging to open up new worlds right on your search page. And, while you might be expecting more, the Easter egg does not go that much into it as you can only dig through things and if you tap on the wood, you will get a wooden axe and that’s it.
After all, it is just an Easter egg and not the game itself.
But, it is still fun to see your screen turn into a small Minecraft world that you can dig through.
And finally, when you get tired of it and click on the cross to clear your screen, you will see a creeper approaching you to blow everything up.
