The new iPhone 16 is scheduled to launch on September 9th and shortly before its release, the iPhone 17 has also been the subject of speculation. The initial reports regarding the iPhone 17 go beyond the assertion that an ultraslim iPhone 17 Air device will replace the current Plus model.
Speculation points out that the tech giant is planning to release the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Slim. New rumors claim that only the new iPhone 17 Pro Max will feature 12 GB of RAM; other iPhone models will have only 8 GB of RAM.
This might be a major selling point specifically for the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Additionally, the Pro Max will also get an upgraded cooling system, combining vapor chamber technology with graphite sheets. The remaining units of the iPhone 17 family will use graphite sheets alone, just like previous models.
Also, TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has pitched in with some additional information. Kuo says,
“Pro Max currently accounts for nearly 40% of new model shipments, making the most significant contribution to Apple’s revenue and profit among hardware products. The differentiation strategy of providing the best specifications (beyond a larger display size than Pro) for Pro Max is expected to continue.”
