Anthropic pairs up with Microsoft

The company Microsoft introduces a new premium subscription service, which provides AI agents and productivity tools to enterprises through its Microsoft 365 E7 product. The offering, known as Microsoft 365 E7, represents the company’s most comprehensive bundle designed for organizations adopting AI-driven workflows.

The new enterprise plan combines multiple Microsoft services, including Copilot AI, advanced security systems, and a management platform for AI agents. The package costs $99 per user per month and will launch on May 1, which makes it a premium product designed for enterprises that operate complex digital systems.

Microsoft’s strategy reflects the rapid rise of autonomous AI systems in corporate environments. The systems that people call AI agents execute research tasks together with coding, sales analysis, and customer support functions. Companies encounter difficulties when they need to oversee and regulate how these tools operate because their usage has increased.

Microsoft has created Agent 365, which functions as a centralized system to track and control AI agents that function throughout an organization. The service will provide IT and security teams with the ability to monitor and control digital assistants through a centralized system. Agent 365 will cost $15 per user per month, and it will be part of the E7 bundle.

The company’s internal research indicates that the adoption of AI agents is accelerating rapidly across businesses. Microsoft data shows that over 80 percent of Fortune 500 companies already use AI agents, but 29 percent of those deployments occur without proper IT and security department approval.

The E7 package delivers multiple Microsoft enterprise services through its combination of Microsoft 365 E5 Copilot AI assistant, Entra suite identity management tools, Defender security technologies, and Purview security technologies. Microsoft designed its subscription system to unify these components because it wanted to make installation easier and enhance control over artificial intelligence operations.
