Sony revealed the launching of the PS5 Pro gaming console through the host PlayStation’s blog. As per the blog, it is clear that the advanced PS5 Pro will launch on November 7, 2024, at direct.playstation.com or retail stores. However, the pre-orders start from September 26, 2024.
Significantly, the latest PS5 Pro is the first game console that will require buying a game console for $699.99, and a separate disc for $79.99 to play physical games.
According to PlayStation’s blog post, “We kept the look of the PS5 Pro consistent with the overall PS5 family of products. You’ll notice the height is the same size as the original PS5, and the width is the same size as the current PS5 model to accommodate higher performance specs. Players can add an Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive, or swap out console covers when they become available.”
Therefore, The Verge also stated in its blog post, “It seems likely that Sony and Microsoft are testing the waters for going all-digital for the PlayStation 6 and the next-generation Xbox — or at least offering disc drives separately. It’s like Apple removing the disc drive all over again.”
Moreover, Sony developed the PS5 Pro console including Game Boost, DualSense Edge, PlayStation VR2, PlayStation Portal, Access Controller, Pulse Elite, and Pulse Explore. Furthermore, the PS5 Pro console supports wireless technology, Wi-Fi 7, VRR, and 8K gaming.
Sony has contributed cutting-edge technology to bring the best gaming experience for over 30 years. Notably, the PS5 Pro has proven to be the best and most advanced gaming console.
