One of the biggest streaming services, Spotify, is back after facing a sudden and temporary down on Sunday, September 29. Numerous Spotify’s daily listeners reported no access to the tunes and podcasts.
According to downdetector.com, a website that allows users to report problems with popular apps, there were more than 40,000 people who reported outages with the music platform.
The streaming giant quickly responded to the user’s outrage from its official X account, stating- “We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!”
Many people were quick to share the challenges that they faced because of the sudden breakdown. They complained about the disruptions in their workout routine, and some shared plans to stream a playlist at a child’s birthday party.
Even though the app was back in a couple of hours, the outrage was genuine since many Spotify listeners were part of the subscription plan. In 2023, the music platform reports having more than 626 million users, with 246 million subscribers.
The subscribers continue to pay even if the economy is rough. They relatively prefer to subscribe despite any such factors. So, facing an uninformed break can be outrageous for many.
About an hour later, the streaming service posted that everything was looking much better. The app just seemed to be functioning normally.
