The Indian smartphone market at the start of the year 2026 is going to see a change, and Vivo is planning to make the most of it by introducing the V70 series as a refresh to their mid-premium line-up, which was already six months ago due to the previous V60 case. As per the fresh reports from the industry, the smartphone manufacturer from China will begin introducing the new handsets in India by the middle of February.
The lineup will be more or less Indian audience-specific and will consist of the main Vivo V70 and the superior Vivo V70 Elite as the main two models. There are rumors regarding the inclusion of a “Lite” variant in the global lists, but as of now, indications are that just the two major ones will be available in the country during the first launch.
The Vivo V70 standard is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, just like its predecessor. This processor has an octa-core structure with one main core, three performance cores, and four efficiency cores, all being able to reach up to 2.8 GHz. The performance of the 8GB RAM base unit has gotten single-core and multi-core scores of around 1,235 and 3,920, respectively
Imaging technology has always been one of the main selling points of the series, and this time, no such thing is going to change. The ZEISS optics and Sony sensors are again here for both phones. The main camera area is believed to have a triple-camera system, featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor boasting Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) plus a 50-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto sensor lens addition.
According to the initial price leaks, the basic Vivo V70 will cost around ₹45,000, while the V70 Elite might attract a higher price of ₹50,000. If the dates are accurate, Vivo will unveil its official teasing campaign in a few weeks.
