WhatsApp has been working on a ton of new features to enhance its productivity and user interface. They have been planning to introduce a new feature to the app’s community group chats.
This feature will allow chat group admins to hide certain group chats from the list of community groups. It is currently being tested with the latest WhatsApp beta for the Android version and will be released in a future release.
This feature will pretty much improve privacy within communities by allowing members to create hidden groups for specific discussions without broadcasting their presence to the entire community.
And that’s not all, this feature will also offer improved privacy and control for the community admins as well as give the users a cleaner and more organized community structure.
Hidden group chats will allow for more private-focused discussions on sensitive topics or exclusive group access without creating clutter in the general community. As for the availability of this feature, WhatsApp plans to release it in a future update after the beta is complete and any bugs have been fixed.
Meanwhile, on the side, WhatsApp is also working on a feature that allows users to share files via Wi-Fi hotspot, which sounds similar to what Shareit did.
